Sometimes you're just not interested
Pinterest provides their users with the ability to unfollow pinners and boards. There can be numerous reasons to use this function, but the biggest reason is that you are just not interested in what that pinner pins or the topic of the board. Your Pinterest Home Feed should reflect your interests. In order to ensure a positive experience, you can unfollow pinners and boards that you're just not interested in.

Activity 6: Un-Follow a Board or Pinner
Directions: When you signed up for Pinterest, the system has you quickly follow popular pinners and boards. In this activity, you are going to look at your Home Feed a bit closer to analyze if it really reflects what you are interested. Follow the steps below and answer the reflection question as you think about how to continue to customize your Pinterest page.

Un-Following Boards or Pinners
Step 1: Access your Home Feed by clicking the Pinterest logo.
Step 2: Start scrolling through your Home Feed to look at the images that pinners you follow have been pinning. Keep a couple things in mind as your analyze your Home Feed:

- Do these images reflect things I am interested in?
- Do any images turn me off in any way?
- Are there some pins that I would have a hard time re-pinning?
- Are there some images that don't line up with any of the boards I have created?
Step 3: Once you have found a pin that doesn't interest you, you have to further analyze:
Remember, when you un-follow a Board, you will not see any of the images pinned to that Board.
When you un-follow a Pinner, you will no longer see ANY of the images that Pinner pins.
In this instance - I clicked on the pinner to look at some of her other boards. I found that I liked the majority of her boards and decided to just un-follow this particular board.
- Do I want to un-follow the Board?
- Do I want to un-follow the Pinner?
Remember, when you un-follow a Board, you will not see any of the images pinned to that Board.
